Defence Ministry To Use AI To Carry Out Predictive Public Grievance Analysis

The Ministry of Defence plans to utilizing artificial intelligence based predicted analysis for measuring root-cause and type of grievances of public.
The Ministry of Defence signed a three-way MoU with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) for this issue on Tuesday.
At the signing of the MoU, the Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh and the Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh were present. They showed their agreeableness on the signing.
According to the MoU, artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques by IIT Kanpur will conduct exploratory and predictive analysis of public grievances collected from the web-based Centralised Public Grievances Redress and Monitoring System of the defence ministry.
With respect to the policy initiatives of public grievances, the Department of the Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, the nodal government department is to help in data dumping on the grievances to the Ministry of Defence to IIT Kanpur for facilitating analyzations.
Expected to facilitate the Ministry of Defence, the project will help in identifying the birth and type of grievances and give systemic changes and policy interventions when needed.
